ShavingsAgreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Rustam Irzaiev (“we”). You buy Shavings from Paddle, our reseller, and the license to use it comes from us. By using Shavings (“the app”) or shavings.app, you agree to these terms.
Your license
When you buy a license, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the app on any Mac you own or use, for as long as you keep to these terms. The license doesn't expire. It includes every update to the major version you bought, free: a Shavings 1 license gets every 1.x release. A new major version, such as Shavings 2, may be a paid upgrade. Your license keeps working with the version you have.
A license is for one person. It isn't a team, company or site license. You can use Shavings for your own projects and for your work, but everyone who uses it needs a license of their own, including when a company buys licenses for its staff. To buy licenses for a team or company, email support@shavings.app for volume pricing.
You may not:
- share, sell, rent or publish your license key
- distribute copies of the app, or modified versions of it
- remove or work around the app's licensing, or its safety checks
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where the law allows it regardless of this term
The app is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights we don't expressly give you, including the copyright and the Shavings name and icon.
Trial, payment and refunds
You can try Shavings free for 14 days. After the trial, moving items to the Trash needs a license. Scanning, dry runs, Cleanup History and putting items back keep working without one.
Purchases are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle sells you the license, takes payment, and handles taxes and invoices; its buyer terms also apply to your purchase. The price is shown at checkout.
If you're not happy with Shavings, ask for a refund within 14 days of your purchase and you'll get one, no questions asked. Write to support@shavings.app or contact Paddle. After a refund, your license ends. This doesn't limit any right to a refund you have under consumer law. See the refund policy.
Updates and ending the license
We may release updates, which these terms cover unless they come with their own. We don't promise updates, support or any particular feature, and we may stop developing the app.
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. If you break these terms, your license ends and you must delete the app.
What the app does, and what you're responsible for
Shavings moves the build folders you choose to the Trash. It never deletes anything permanently, and you can put items back until you empty the Trash.
The app checks each folder before moving it, but it can't know everything about your projects. Review what you move, check the Trash before you empty it, and keep backups of anything that matters. A cleared project may need to be rebuilt before it works again, which can take time and a network connection.
No warranty
The app and the website are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app is free of errors or works with every Mac or project.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or time, from using the app or the website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the app.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
The website and email list
You may use shavings.app for personal, lawful purposes. Don't attempt to disrupt it, and don't sign up email addresses that aren't yours. The privacy policy explains how we handle the email address you give us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top. A license you've bought stays under the terms in force when you bought it, and a change never takes away a license you already have.
